Endpoint protection with Cloud Connect
I currently use Cloud Connect to backup my VMs. However, I can't grant permissions on that Backup Repository to back up my physical VMs to the same location. Is there something else I need to do to use Endpoint protection with Cloud Connect?

Hi David,
VEB currently does not support cloud connects as a backup destination. Direct backup to Veeam Cloud Connect repository is coming in v2

Veeam Agent for Windows Beta (the successor for VEB) already supports backing up directly to the cloud repository.

Try testing VAW to Cloud Connect, its great! I've been testing this with our workstations and servers, whilst testing our CC instance.
Ive knocked up a quick guide here for assistance: https://carlmcdade.com/2017/03/29/veeam ... rkstation/
Cheers

Re: Endpoint protection with Cloud Connect
When will the beta download be more widely available ? I keep hitting all the links for dload, but at this point they remain circular - they loop back to the dload page without producing a dload. I read in a related post that 'if the dload link does not work, it means Veeam is still controlling the rate of distribution to manage related support requests.' At this point, several months after I began inquiring about the dload, when can I get it ? Lastly, when i submit my email address at this link, nobody responds: https://go.veeam.com/windows-backup.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to working with the new product.

Hi Mark,
We are not actually. You should be able to download. We have heard about issues with certain download plugins or other items that users can't download the bits and get into a circular web page loading.
Could you use an incognito mode in a browser or even another browser and try again? In most cases a "clean" browser solves the problem.
If not, let us know and I will see if I can find another way to deliver you the bits
Mike

Thanks, Mike ! That worked. For reference, I was using Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133. IE got the job done. Happy camper!

Great Mark!
Funny though, in most cases we see it the other way around . But yes, there are certainly lots of plugins around that can do strange things. Sometimes it is needed to remove plugins and cleanup a bit
Anyway, have fun testing and let us know how it goes!
