NFR: rescan status/results monitoring function

Post by tinto1970 »

Good day all,

after migrating my 2 ESXi hosts to a new vCenter, storage integration was no longer working so I initiated a Storage (NetApp) rescan.

My mistake was to click "close" button, hoping it was possible to see the status of the process later.
I did not find how to do this in the GUI (probably i should search for a text log file).

Hitting "rescan" again initiated a new scan process, which have been waiting for the previous one to end.

I think it would be nice to see rescan job status/results somewere in the GUI.

Thanks

What if you go to History tab (located at the bottom) and check whether there are any re-scan sessions reported? Thanks.

oh yeah, got it!

sorry but i had actually never seen the History tab in the GUI.
Probably it's hidden by default... or not so evident for a dummy gut like me ;)

Thanks!!!!

It reminds me of pressing arrows left and right to have a look at the recent backup runs, arrows in thg gui would be well in place here :) Everything i show to some new / not so new Veeam user i'll get an uuuhhh or an aaahhhh as response :)
