Feature Request for VeeamZIP
Hi Support-Team,
it would be fine to see in the "Veeam Backup & Replication Console" -> Backups -> Disk (VeeamZIP) not only the "creation time", but also the "Expires In" (like in the tape media pool view) and also the "User" who created the ZIP.
The "User" Tab would also be fine in the History View because i can't retrace in the GUI which user started, for example, a Quick Backup Job for a VM (this applies to all manually started Jobs).
We are several veeam administrators, so these informations would be important.
Thanks!
Sam

Re: Feature Request for VeeamZIP
As we can't snapshot a template via the API this won't be possible anytime soon without first converting the template to a VM.mma wrote:Btw. is VeeamZIP Support for templates on your radar?

Re: Feature Request for VeeamZIP
Can't you just file copy required template? Or you want to have certain compression and retention applied to resulting file? More information regarding the use case wouldn't harm. Thanks.

Re: Feature Request for VeeamZIP
I like to have my backups in Veeam. That's why file copy is not an option. Compression and retention is nice to have, but not a must. So why not use an normal Veeam Backup Job? We are cloud provider and have a "pay per VM" license modelv.Eremin wrote:Can't you just file copy required template? Or you want to have certain compression and retention applied to resulting file? Re: Feature Request for VeeamZIP
Got it. If a template doesn't get changed regularly, and it's more like one-time operation, you can convert the template to VM and back it up, as Niels suggested. Thanks.
