Hello,
how to uninstall VAW completely? I'm having an issue with my configuration and I thought that I can uninstall it and install again to have a default backup configuration. However, when I uninstalled VAW and even deleted manually all Veeam named folders and files - the next installation magically took my old config
Is there a way to completely remove all previous configuration and run from scratch?
Thanks in advance,
Nikolai

Morning Nikolai,
After the uninstall confirm that the following folder has been removed:
C:\programdata\veeam\
I believe this is where the configuration is kept
Within that folder structure there is a folder called Endpoint and then you should see your job name. I bel

"deleted manually all Veeam named folders and files " - I scan whole disk C for *veeam* and removed that. Didn't help much.

Hello,
In order to reset all settings to default please do the following:
1. Stop all Veeam Services.
2. Open registry editor - select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup" and change "ReCreateDatabase" value from 0 to 1.
3. Start Veeam services.

I've just tested this on my test workstation:
There is an SQLDB that installs alongside the VAW installation called 'Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB'
Ive uninstalled both, and re-ran the installation. Retains the previous VAW config.
Il keep digging, nice find!
Cheers

Hello Carl,
it's not very important right now, as I found a workaround. Don't waste your time.

Guys,
If it’s critical to erase all the agent configuration & settings – suggested registry entry hack should do the trick.
