Off site replica Problem

Hi all
I have two esi 4.1 server in my office connect by SAN Storage
now i want replicate my critical vm off site office, so i have configure the replica job
I have a branch office with vpn connection
In the second office i have installed another esix with big local datastore

now i have test the offsite backup but when i lunch the replica for the second time it is very slow. It isn't incremental? or differential?
There is some particular configuration? I have set WAN transfer in the advance options

Hello Christian, the replica is forever-incremental after the first run. Incremental pass performance directly depends to how fast your WAN connection to branch office is. Using ESX instead of ESXi as replication target will increase the performance in about 3 times. Thanks!

i write my situation

in the production side : i have a test vm with windows 2003 with active directory service , the hard disk dimension is 8gb

after the first replica, for example i add in the server desktop about 50 mb of data file

the following replica time with my 512 kbs vpn connection is estimated in about 23 hours

this evening i put the replication server on the local network (bypassing vpn)

The resynchronization occurs in less than 3 minutes

probably something is wrong, but i don't understand what

Nothing is wrong, just you connection too slow (it does not even meet minimum system requirements, we require 1Mb/s or more). Additionally, adding 50MB file does not mean 50MB of changes to transfer, because replication is done on image level. For example, adding 50MB file on fragmented volume can easily result in 500MB of changed disk blocks that replication has to transfer.

ok it is true that my connection is slow but

with my connection during the night i upload about 180 megabyte every hour

So, 23 hours so too many.

In your circumstances, I can suggest the following:
1. Definitely install ESX instead of ESXi on target.
2. Deploy trial version of Hyper-IP (HyperIP 2Mbs subscriptions are free to Veeam Customers)

This should make incremental replication performance at least 7 times faster.
