Exchange 2016 Mailboxrestore - no Mailboxes found

Post by nyendick »

Hello,
we have a newly installed Exchange 2016 on a Server 2016. An old Exchange 2010 is coexisting at the moment. Every is fine.
If we run a backup against the Exchange 2010 we ware able to use the Exchange Explorer to mount the backuped Exchange 2010 Database and we can see all the
mailboxes witch are inkluded in this Database.
If we run a backup against the new Exchange 2016, the backup is also running fine, but if we use the Exchange explorer and we are loading the database, the database is shown but no Mailboxes are visible.
The Exchange Explorer config says that Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2016 are configured.
Does anybody habe an idea why?
Thanks for any help.
Matthias

We have the same issue.
Logged a call with the helpdesk and were advised to install the 9.5 update 2 which was made available to us.

We haven’t had a chance to install the update yet so can't say if it will fix our issue or not.

did you install latest CU5 for Exchange 2016? It is a known issue with 9.5U1 but U2 will soon fix this issue!

FIXED: Exchange 2016 Mailboxrestore - no Mailboxes found

Thanks!! Ich opened a ticket to the veeam support, and they sent me the Update 2.
After installing the U2 and rebooting the Veeam-Server the problem was gone and i was able to restore mailboxitems from an Exchange 2016 CU5.
