Bare metal recovery of "Volume Level" backup?

Post by mcw »

Hello,

consider a system with two RAID 1 sets. One is assigned Windows volume C:. It contains operating system data. The other is assigned Windows volume D: and contains application data.

If we make a backup of this system in "Volume Level" mode and include the EFI partition and the recovery partition: Is it then possible to perform a bare metal recovery of this system using the Veeam recovery media, so that we get a bootable system in the end?

Is the result the same as if we had made a backup of the entire computer (of course without volume D:)?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Mcw,

If I understood correctly, you want to recover every volume besides the D-drive. Is that correct? If so, boot to the recovery media and in that wizard it will give you the possibility to choose the specific volume(s)
