Seeding to per-vm repository

Post by tquiocho »

Hi Team

Is it possible to transfer seed backup from a non per-vm repository and upload to a per-vm repository then remap backup job?

Will the new backup job still run?
Thanks in advance

Hi Thorald and welcome to the community!
I guess it should work fine. The chain will be non-perVM at first and become per-VM from new active full.
So I would give it a try.
Thanks!

Hi Nikita

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Will this work with synthetic full backups as well?

Thanks

No, synthetic full doesn`t start new chain, while repository setting will be implemented to the job starting from the new chain, which is to happen with active full run(manual or automatic).
Thanks!
