Configure File level backup from command line

Post by aaron.harris »

Trying to use the veeamconfig utility to configure our Linux nodes backup for individual folders, however I cannot seem to set a directory inclusion through the command line script it only seems to work when using the UI.

Is this expected or should it be possible to configure a job to backup individual folders through the command line utility?

It looks like the command line utility is expecting the --objects parameter to be a list of devices rather than folders, the error I get is "Error: Unable to backup following devices: /tmp/test-folder"

Thanks

How are you trying to make the job? The following for example works:

Code: Select all

veeamconfig job create filelevel --name filelevel --maxpoints 7 --includedirs '/home,/root' --reponame backuprepo
