Copy files external server

Post by jcasanellas »

Hello,

We are copying files from a server outside our network, it is in an external CPD.

We have created a VPN and all correct, but it makes the backup very slow.

Is it possible to make a backup of a computer without having a VPN against this machine or network?

What ports should I open so that a client with Backup Endpoint Free could make a copy in the cloud?

Thank you very much.

Is it possible to not encrypt the file in order to gain speed? I have to spend 180GB at the pace that I think it will take 2 days to transfer it.
He did the transfer test of a 3Gb file and it's about 24 min.

But with Endpoint Backup is reaching double or triple time ....

I am waiting for your answer.

Hello jcasanellas,

Please accept my apologies for the ignorance, but I wasn't able to find out what 'CPD' means. Can you please clarify its meaning? If you're talking about backups to VB&R server which is behind the NAT, there is no workaround except using VPN.

Regarding agents backup to the cloud: it's only available for Veeam Agent for Windows (not Veeam Endpoint) with 'workstation' or 'server' licenses being installed.
