No, 5.0.1 includes many other fixes and enhancements besides those included in Hotfix 4 for 5.0.

So, the installations we have done at customers sites which include Hot Fix 4, do not need to be upgraded to v5.0.1 ?
Are those installations identical to v5.0.1, in other words ?

That is right, 5.0 is still 5.0, even with hot fixes installed. While 5.0.1 is different release with that address all issues know to exist as of its release date, plus introduces many new features.

In order to get support, your customers need to be on the latest version (5.0.1), as all future patches will only be provided for 5.0.1 release, and will not be compatible with 5.0 (whether or not it has HF4 installed).

I have corrected Alexey's responses above, because they were a bit confusing.
