Back up to shared folder on ReFS filesystem

Post by JimmyO »

Initially I plan to backup a physical server to a shared folder on a Windows 2016 Server formatted as ReFS.

Will VAW2.0 recognise the shared folder as ReFS and benefit from the "features" such as fast clone etc.?

Also - I plan to copy the files (backup chain) to another ReFS repository in the future and import the backups to the Veeam server console and continue the backup schedule from there.
I guess this is not a problem?

Hi JimmyO,

From the top of my head it should work. Please share your testing results once you have them. Thanks in advance.
