Hi Everyone,
I have an enhancement request for the Backup Properties Window.
When I navigate into Backups, Disk, Job Name, Right Click on Properties, Pick a Server in the lower Left Objects window, see the list restore points to the right, I would really like to see what kind of backup I am looking at.
Is it a Weekly full, Monthly Full, Quaterly Full, or Active Full, etc...
Cheers
Nick

Re: Enhancement Request - Weekly, Monthly, Quaterly, Active
Hi,
May I ask you why would you need that info to be reflected? It should be clear from "Date" column where the backup was created, so please provide more details on your request. Also there is no such thing as "Quartlerly" for backup jobs, the concept exists only for Backup Copy Jobs and there are already labels that help you to distinguish different types of Fulls.
Thank you

Hi PTide,
Yeah, the Retention column is exactly what I would like to see in both:
Backups > Disk and
Backup > Disk (copy).
I prefer to see it in the Restore points Window.
Reason I want this reflected: Sometimes I will see a Full backup on Monday night and Tuesday night. I would like to know why I have full backups on Monday and Tuesday when I am expecting incrementals. By seeing the retension column, it may give me the reason and I can modify my jobs accordingly.

Re: Enhancement Request - Weekly, Monthly, Quaterly, Active
I believe that the info about job's retention is already available via "Job" - "Edit" - "Schedule", within just the same amount of clicks away as in "Backup" - "Disk" - "Properties".
Thank you
Thank you
