Instant recovery a large VM

Post by hasayeretFMG »

We're planning on moving our Exchange server: 1.1TB
I know that with Instant Recovery Veeam caches the VM on the Veeam machine where Veeam is usually installed - the C drive.
My question is: Can you instant recovery a 1.1TB VM on a driver that is smaller? Our C drive is 1TB with about 900GB free.

Thanks!

Yes, you can. Instantly recovered VM does not occupy any space whatsoever, it's changes (to virtual disks done afterwards) that do. More information regarding IR can be found here. Thanks.
