restore hyper-v to kvm
Anyone tried to restore a VAW 2.0 image 2012 R2 from hyper-v to KVM?
I works and boot ONLY if I have a dvd-drive (iso) inside the lvm virtual machine.
No matter what.
Have tried of rebuild bcd, fixmbr, fix boot.
It goes automatically into repair if there is no dvd-drive inserted.
I can even put in a ubuntu iso, let it boot and choose boot from first hard drive and it works ok.
Any ideas?

Not really. The service provider is using OnApp cloud platform. Based on Kvm.

Frank,
When you took the backup of that machine, was there a "DVD" inserted in Hyper-V?

Weird indeed. Did you try to restore that image to somewhere else? Maybe another Hyper-V host or something like that? I kind of want to know if this will be the case again or if it is specific for the platform

Re: restore hyper-v to kvm
I restore to my Windows 10 Hyper-v machine and that works as expected.
Must be something with Windows / KVM I guess

Good day Frank,
Have you attempted to restore the VAW 2.0 image from Hyper-V to KVM again?
