I already searched but I could not really found a answer to my question.
Is it allowed to use Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows FREE also for production / commercial application?

That means, not only use it on my private laptop but also on a computer used in a doctors office, marketing office, etc. ?

Hi,
That's not something dictated by Veeam: the use case that applies to your environment is solely in discretion of the team managing the environment. In other words: if you want to use it on the laptops in the commercial office, nobody is able to stop you
As suggested at https://www.veeam.com/windows-backup-agent-faq.html , you can use FREE agent to backup even servers, including 2016 version.

On remote sites, we have small Windows servers. However, the integrated backup of Windows is not satisfactory. Veeam Agent "Free" seems to be a good solution, if its professional use is legal ...

Professional(Production) use is legal, however you will not have Production Technical Support for those Veeam Agents in use - which is not best decision for production use.
Is it legal? Yes. Will it work? Yes. Is it a good idea? No.
