Veeam 9.5 with 3PAR and StoreOnce issue

Post by anhtuan206 »

Hello everyone,
I am using Veeam 9.5 update 2 to backup using storage snapshot from 3PAR to StoreOnce in Vmware environment.
All the VMs action in the job always stuck at "Using guest interaction proxy xxx (Different subnet)" this step for 15 minutes.
It's almost exactly 15 minutes. All VMs in the backup job stuck at this step together if the job include <=10 VMs.
If the backup job include more than 10 VMs, such as 15 VMs, the first 10 VMs will stuck at this step, after the first 10 VMs has done with the backup the last 5 VMs will stuck at this step.

At this moment, the Job action as below:
Job started at 7/7/2017 9:36:24 AM
Building VMs list 0:00:06
VM size: 600.0 GB (469.7 GB used)
Changed block tracking is enabled
Queued for processing at 7/7/2017 9:37:09 AM
Required backup infrastructure resources have been assigned

Hi, were you able to address this behavior? Have you contacted support for logs review, since the job logs should clearly tell what the job does during these 15 minutes?

This is most likely defined by the max number of concurrent tasks set for the proxy/repository servers.
