I have a remote location that has 2 ESXi hosts that are licensed with Veeam for backup.
I will be spinning up 2 new ESXi hosts to replace them and utilizing Veeam to move the VM's to the new hosts.
Do I need to license the new hosts during the transition? Or, since they are just replication targets until I decom the old servers, does licensing not apply until I need to backup the moved VM's?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Licensing during ESXi host swap
No additional backup server licenses will be needed, so long as those hosts are only used as replication target. Thanks.

Re: Licensing during ESXi host swap
You're welcome. By the way, the recommended migration approach is to replicate required VMs and then perform planned failover. Thanks.
