We have one tape drive. Our weekly backup needs to tapes. We wait for Veeam to tell us that the current tape is full and it's waiting on a new tape.
We manually eject the tape and insert a new tape.
Occasionally this will cause the tape job to fail with a message from Veeam saying the other tape is still being written/read to. Despite coming after the notification that it needs a new tape?
Is there any way Veeam can eject a tape when full even if the job isn't finished? Or allows us to retry the tape job?

Re: Retry Tape Job
Hi,
When tape is full you should see the waiting for new tape notification, then you can eject the written tape and replace it with new media. After that automatic rescan should detect new tape media and continue backup job. If that's not working as described please submit a support case.Occasionally this will cause the tape job to fail with a message from Veeam saying the other tape is still being written/read to. We plan to implement this behavior in next version. Is there any way Veeam can eject a tape when full even if the job isn't finished?
