Can't backup specific files/folders

Post by gct_mf »

Hey hey,

i have an annoying error for the last days. I'm backing up a Notebook via FileLeveBackup.

Code: Select all

Failed to backup [Users\xyz\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\LiveComm\bc49db459cb49997\120712-0049\Att\200055a8\image002.jpg]

It seems that these are files of the winddows 10 mailapp. But I can't exclude theese files because the VAW than excludeds the whole AppData Folder and not only the microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder

There are a few more .PDF-Files VAW can't backup, but i also can't open these files with the Administrator (but the Administrator have the rights to do this).

Do you have an idea what to do.

Thanks in advance

Hi gct_mf,

As a potential workaround, try to exclude the root folder for the said files. Hard to say why you faced this issue without looking into VAW debug logs, so if you want this issue to be investigated, kindly, open a support case. Thanks!
