We have just moved over to Veeam B&R and was wondering if there is a way to setup an offline backup repository.
Basically we want to be able to take each weeks full backups and copy them to a separate repository and then be able to disconnect it until the next week.
I can script the disconnect reconnect of the storage array, but not sure how to setup the copy jobs. When I try to set them up, it is grabbing more than just the full backups.
Is this even possible?
What we are trying to accomplish is added protection against viruses. If our backup server was infected, we would still have good weekly full backups that are isolated from the rest of the network. We do also purge monthly backups to tape, so this is just an added protection.
Thanks!

Re: Setup offline backup repository
You can:
- create a backup copy job
- set a weekly copy interval for it
- enable gfs and set whatever number of weekly restore points you want
- enable "read entire restore point from source option"
This way, backup copy job should create only full backups on weekly basis.
Additionally, it might be worth keeping backup copy job disabled on all days, but Sundays (when a separate repository gets connected).
Thanks.
