Backup Copy Server Size

Post by Trin »

We have a backup job which consitis of 37 virtual servers.

One of those servers is listed as being 9TB so we have excluded all but the C: drive for now meaning it is only backing up from that 80GB drive.

I need to add this server to the backup copy job but I'm having trouble trying to limit what it thinks it's backing up.

The servers have been added to the copy job "From infrastructure...." so when I add the new server the same way it lists it as the full 9TB. If I recreate the copy job and pick servers "From job...", the total calculated size is such that it still thinks it's looking at 9TB.

Is there a way to tell the copy job that it should only be interested in the 80GB drive as per the original backup job?

Hi Trin,

Don't worry about the counter in the copy job creation wizard since it checks the VM size in the infrastructure, if the source repository contains only 80Gb of data for the particular VM, then the copy job will deliver these 80Gbs. Thanks!
