Backup copy of a backup copy

Post by MG@Metro »

I was reading this and it reckons you can do a backup copy of a backup copy job. https://bp.veeam.expert/job_configurati ... y_job.html

I can't for the life of me work out how? Is that possible?

Just tried creating a test BCJ, using this method:

Add the VMs you want by clicking 'Add...' then 'from Infrastructure'.
After they're in the list, click 'Source...'. Make sure the only Repository selected as a source, is where your first Backup Copies are.

Was looking into doing something similar, to split our BCJs between different repositories.

Is that possible?
It is, as long as the following requirements are met:

- VMs are selected from infrastructure
- Backup repository where the primary backup copy resides is specified as the data source
- Both backup copy jobs are created and managed on single backup server
