Scheduling Question
I have a question regarding job scheduling:
I need a job that runs every 8 hours and starts at 4:00 AM in the morning,
so backup times for that job should be:
4.00 AM
12.00 PM
8.00 PM
When I select "run periodically every" 8 hours, I can not define a start time..
I can create 3 different jobs with the same VMs (one for each start time), but that's not what I want..
Any idea how this can done?
thanks in advance..

Re: Scheduling Question
For periodically run jobs, reference time is midnight (12:00 AM). So, what you can do to get the desired schedule is to:
- Schedule the job to run periodically, every 8 hours
- Enable backup window and prohibit jobs execution on at all times, but at 4 AM, 12 PM, 8 PM
Thanks.

Re: Scheduling Question
Hi,
thanks.. I already looked at the backup window settings..
Do I have to think about the backup runtime as well ?
Backup might run about 1 or 2 hours,
so allowed backup time should be 4-6AM, 12-2PM, 8-10PM ?
Or is it just the start time of the job?
then it would be just allowed to run at 4-5AM, 12-1PM, 8-9PM (smallest selectable block is 60 minutes)

Re: Scheduling Question
Unless you enable "termination window" option, you should be only concerned with job start time. Thanks.
