Aisign Veeam Agent-license via cloud connect

Post by Magz »

Hi.

We have some physical servers that we back up with Veeam Agent. Some of these connect directly to Veeam B&R via a site-to-site VPN, while others connect via CloudConnect.

The servers that connect directly consume Agent-licenses installed on the B&R-server, but it doesn't look like the ones connectin through the CloudGateway does the same.

Is there any way that I can assign Agent-licenses via CloudConnect?

Regards
Magne

Hello Magne,

To backup directly to Veeam Cloud Connect repository license should be installed locally on the agent side (About > Manage license).

Thank you for your answer.

It would be great if we could assign licenses to the agents connecting via CloudConnect as well in a future release :-)

Consider your post noted as a feature request. By the way, stay tuned for Veeam Availability Console announcements as it should provide the agent management functionality for your Veeam Cloud Connect infrastructure. Sounds like a solid solution for your case.
