looking up old job run info

Post by dgapinski »

Hello,

I am wondering where we might have (outside of email) a way to look up old job runtimes? Does the Veeam database keep that info somewhere?

Thanks for your thoughts

Sure, you can use for example powershell to extract data. We have a dedicated subforum concerning powershell

'History' node in Veeam B&R UI also contains historical jobs data.

Thank you both - the idea is that for audit purposes, I need to look up old job info where the job might not exist anymore. And go back to the beginning of the Veeam installation. foggy, is the history node everything I can get out of the database?

Ahh - I see the setting for "Session history retention". So it looks like the database doesn't keep anything past this timeframe then.

Indeed but you can changes these settings here in the main menu (sandwich bar menu in the top left corner) > General Options > History tab:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95

But of course this will have an impact on DB size etc.

I have Veeam configured to send an e-mail on all job runs (success, warning and failure) to a special e-mail account and that has been sufficient to go back historically for audit purposes.
