Failed to inject guest runtime

I noticed this message for some vms in my job "15/11/2017 22:08:28 :: Failed to inject guest runtime using guest interaction proxy, failing over to backup server "
The result of the job is success..

Could you tell me what is it?

We have a special component called guest interaction proxy. The component deploys the runtime process in a VM. This process is needed for backup server to interact with the VM guest OS during application aware backups.

If guest interaction proxy fails to deploy the runtime process for some reason, the task is delegated to backup server itself. This seems to have happened in your case.

Check connectivity between interaction proxy and target VM, or open a ticket with our support team and let them investigate it directly. Thanks.

After checking with my network team, there was missing rules on our firewall, the connection between the proxy and target vms was blocked.
Work fine now
