Veeam Agent and Backup Copy and Remote Nas

Post by distline »

Hello

I have a customer with one single server (not virtual) and he is using the Windows Agent to backup to a local nas.
He asked to have a second copy in cloud or internet.
first option to use a Backup clou connect
second option to publish an other Nas in internet.
Anyway how is possible to have a second backup or backup copy without the Backup and Replication licence ?

Thank you in advance

Hello Roberto,

Have you considered using standalone full backup to another location? This one can be scripted as it does support command line commands.

no. I didnt think about it.
Also because the Internet connection is ADSL.
So the only Full Backup can be in LAN.

Roberto,

Since it's a full backup you can create it locally and then sync it with remote location.

If you have multiple clients at different locations try Veeam Cloud Connect. It allows you to set up a cloud repository which can be used as a target for your agents. From the agent side you can set a backup to such cloud connect repository with backup cache feature enabled (it allows to store backups locally and sync them up with repository when connection to the repository is up).
