Post by usv »

hi,

is it possible to set up alarm (and send to email alarm) when any physical environment has failed, for example " disk in critical/failed array" ?

Hi Serg,
You may set alarms on physical host based on hardware sensors, events and performance.
Do you have Hyper-V or vSphere infrastructure?

I have vSphere infrastructure in my test environment.

And I mean alarm for monitoring raid health (disk in critical/failed array).

Which Event name (or event text) should be entered in new rule to make it right?

For vSphere, in a case RAID failure you will get Host hardware status alarm triggered.
Take a look at all available hardware sensors for each ESX(i) being monitored on a Hardware Tab in Monitor Client.
Thanks!

What about HyperV? Does RAID failure trigger an alert?

Pretty sure there will be a Windows error in the Event log, however Veeam ONE does not monitor physical OS, so this event will be skipped.
