How does the Veeam Capacity Planner determine future growth of a VM Host? What metrics does it use

Hello Jesse,

The prediction is based on history of resource consumption of a host. Having this data, the average growth rate is calculated, and consumption is projected onwards. Thus, the more historical data you have, the more precise that prediction would be. Hope this helps!

Thanks for that, so when calculating growth does it use some sort of forumla? if so can you share it

Jesse, we are using method of least squares approximation to build our capacity planning reports.
