Post by frankive »

I think it would with a choice of also keeping backup files local, but not sure when it is directly target to CC? :)

You need to install the Veeam backup and replication console - the agent will do the initial local backup and B+R will do the Backup copy jobs to CC or elsewhere.

EDIT:- The Agent Licence will hook into the B+R Console

I agree (however I do have B+R on my laptop) - it'd be nice to have within VAW.

Guys,

VAW is a client application designed to perform a primary backup only, so it does not have a backup copy or integration with tape. That said, you still can create multiple backup files using backup to rotated drives (each removable media will have it’s own backup chain) or run a standalone full backup to another location.

If you have on-prem VBR then you can leverage backup to tape or backup copy jobs to address 3-2-1 rule.

i remember Luca had an post with configuring two kind of jobs with .xml files, one for local and one for VCC.
Maybe this approach could be included in the GUI?

Frank,

This hack is supported (I've used it myself several times). We plan to add multiple jobs functionality for VAW in next releases.
