Production drive is getting low on free space

Post by Craigondrums »

Hello all,

Happy New Year.

We had warnings that a production drive is getting low on free space (below 10%). I moved a few VMs to another volume but it's still giving the warnings in jobs. I've checked on the SAN and the CSV volume is reporting 20% free. Any ideas how to resolve?

Environment

- VMs are hosted on Hyper-V 2012 cluster connected to Dell storage (iSCSI).
- VBR 9.5 U2

TIA

Not sure if it will help, but you can always try a rescan on the hosts:

If it doesn't help, you could open a case with our support on https://my.veeam.com

Perfect, a rescan of the cluster has solved it. Thank you.

I assumed a rescan of the volume info would be automatic. Is this always a manual process?

Thanks for the feedback. According to the doc, a scan is done automatically every 4 hours.

I moved the VMs about two weeks ago. I'll monitor for now and raise a support ticket if it reoccurs, and post the outcome when known.

Thanks again.
