A proper Install
Hello,
I am attempting to figure out the best route for a Veeam B&R install.
I have a psychical ESXI 5.1 host with only 1 VM guest running off of it. Unfortunately this VM is our DC, SQL, Fileshare....etc etc. Should I go the route of installing Veeam B&R on the VM server or an IT workstation on the domain. The repository would be a NAS and not be utilizing the default repository of the Veeam backup server.

Re: A proper Install
I'd stick to this option in order not to put additional load on already loaded VM. Thanks.an IT workstation on the domain

I agree with Vladimir but maybe an other suggestion. Do you have the resources available to install another VM on that host? That could be an option also.

Re: A proper Install
That's a shame. Maybe do consider it for the future? I am assuming that the cost of the windows license is what is keeping you?
Anyway, I would go with Vladimir's suggestion then
Cheers
