upgrading to 3PAR 3.2.2.EMU4

Post by rikH »

We are planning to upgrade our 3PAR from 3.2.2.EMU3 to 3.2.2.EMU4. The last time we upgraded we ran into a snapshot (HW provider) problem that luckily was a known issue and quickly resolved by support.
We will be running Veeam 9.5-U3 are there any known issues in combination with 3PAR OS 3.2.2.EMU4 that is good to be aware of ? I have searched the forum and I can only find old threads concerning EMU3 and the HPe release notes don't have any references so it all looks good but it never hurts to ask.

Just did 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 EMU4 upgrade on our 7200 array last night - All Backups failed. I've since figured out that the HW VSS provider and CLI need to be updated on all hosts. I don't imagine the EMU 3 to EMU 4 patch will have any significant impact for you however, as the version jump is small.

On my Test host, and Physical Veeam (9.5u3) server patched with the latest CLI and HW Provider, backups are flying.
