Change cache location?

Hi,
I'm running VBR and I'm wondering how I can change the location of the cache folder?
I have a new SSD in my machine that I want to re-loacte the cache folder too.

I mean cache for Instant recovery, I can't find the option in Veeam BR I have looked everywhere I think. =/

If I understand it correctly you want to change the folder that holds the changes to the virtual disks while the recovered VM is running (redo logs). Correct?
Those changes are stored in the vPower NFS datastore. That would be either at the backup server or backup repository. When you install VBR or add a new repository, you can specify the folder location for that NFS datastore (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95).

I believe if you edit that repository, and change the location, you should be good. If not, please contact support (I believe they can also help you with registry keys)

Thanks, I did not know it was called vPower and becuase of that and some googeling I did find my answer!

But as I only have Windows Server 2016 and Veeam on a SSD I maybe don't need to replace the cache to it's own SSD or what do you think?

Correct. If Veeam is already running on its own SSD. On the other hand, Veeam actually will use its own iops so you might gain a bit when switching to another SSD.

In these cases, I would simply say, try it out and see if the result is satisfying enough for you in case of a disaster
