Testing Agents on a cluster

Post by Iain_Green »

Hi,

Have been asked to tests Veeam agents with a Windows 2012 R2 fail over cluster with a shared disk (RDM).

However I am having issues with deploying the agents, when I scan my AD from within Veeam I can see the cluster but each node appears within the cluster twice (once with the short name and once with the fully qualified domain name).
Each one returns an error
29/01/2018 07:57:46 Error Unable to install backup agent: cannot connect to Cluster1B.ocslms.dev01 Error: The network name cannot be found. The network name cannot be found. (ERROR_BAD_NET_NAME).
29/01/2018 07:57:46 Error Unable to install backup agent: cannot connect to Cluster1A.ocslms.dev01 Error: The network name cannot be found. The network name cannot be found. (ERROR_BAD_NET_NAME).
Checked DNS, checked OS file wall is off, servers are in the same subnet.

I am unable figure out why I can't deploy!
Many thanks
