Veeam Free Delete Incremental Backup

Post by AwesomeDuke »

Hi,

I'm using Veeam Free and I cancelled a running task. I noticed that the half created incremental file was still on the NAS drive and Veeam thinks it's still able to restore from it, but I'm worried about corruption of the backup chain.

Can I delete this file without causing any issues to Veeam's DB?

Thanks for any advice in advance...

Duke

Hi James,

It should not affect your backup chain. Such incremental restore point should be marked ‘incomplete’ and, if I am not mistaken, it’s going to be repaired by next job run.

Thanks Dima. Do you think I should delete it or leave it for Veeam to rebuild the file?
