Veeam Agent for Windows Free

Hello!

I installed Veeam Backup & Recovery and wanted to test the Functionality for the Veeam Agent for Windows Free.

After i installed Veeam Agent i was asked to define a Backup.
In the Backup Target i specified existing veeam Backup & Replication server, but i get the error: "Unable to obtain a Veeam Agent for Windows license from the backup server. Not enough licenses on Veeam Backup & Replication server."

How can i add the Free License to the Server?
I thought free doesn't have a Lic and can also be used with the Server according to https://www.veeam.com/veeam_agent_windo ... eet_ds.pdf

Hello Barb,

Standalone Veeam Agent for Windows Free can use Veeam repository as a target only if Veeam B&R has it’s own license (otherwise it’s impossible to create repository in Veeam B&R). Thanks.

Thanks for clarification, from just reading the agent documentation it was not clear to me until now
