Unable to install veeam

Post by marcin »

Hi all,

I'm new to Linux. I'd like Veeam to make a backup of some files from our file server to nas.
I want to install veem on one of our company machines:

Code: Select all

Linux elbud 2.6.26-2-amd64 #1 SMP Sun Mar 4 21:48:06 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I followed User Guide but got some error:

Code: Select all

root@marcin:~# apt-get install veeam
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
veeam: Depends: veeamsnap (= 2.0.0.400) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages
What should I do in this case?

Hi and welcome to the community,

I'm sorry to say that, but you need to run kernel 2.6.32 or higher in order to be able to install the agent.

Thanks
