Cant Backup VM, "guest OS Not Running"

I created a new job, the exact same settings as other VM's that are successful. I get this error when performing backup job.

Validating guest agent availability for the VM
Unable to use guest agent: VM guest OS state is 'NotRunning'

The VM is definitley running....

You need to re-install VMware Tools on this VM as they are providing the wrong status to vCenter.

even though i just posted this, it actually occured 3 days ago, i just checked my server today and the backups/increments have magically worked the last two nights, although at the end of the log that message still appears, they did however backup.

if it gives me any more problems i will try reinstalling vmware tools. cheers.
