Weird behavior of Veeam

Post by Andrey_1 »

Hello,
Hyper-V virtualisation, Veeam B&R 9.5.0.1536
then i'm backing on the vitrual disk attached to Veeam the normal speed is about 120 MB/s and the speed is constant. The virtual disk is stored on NAS.
But then the backup is done on Windows share drive (available on NAS as well) available on the network the speed of 120 MB/s is reached for only about 3 mins then drops to 0Mb/s. In this state Veeam is waiting for 15-20 mins then speed is once again rising up to 120 MB/s for another 3-5 mins..... and then circle repeats.
At the end the full backup is sucessfully done with such many "peaks" and the overall backup time is several hours in spite of approx. 1h.
And all that happened when I changed domain admin password (Windows shared drived is attached with domain admin pass) before the update of pass Veeam properly worked with this share on the constant speed without any peaks...

Could you please advise smth
Thank a lot in advance

Hi,
But then the backup is done on Windows share drive (available on NAS as well) available on the network
So, first you backup to virtual drive which is located on the NAS, then you backup to the shared folder on the very same NAS? What's the point of such design?

Also, what are your bottleneck stats?

Thanks
