hello, I need to delete old backups that I do not use and they are in repository and when performing the "Delete from disk" operation ... I get error "unable to perform the operation while primary backup job or database transaction log backup job is running"

Are you sure the "parent" job of those backup is not running?
The message usually indicates that backup you are trying to delete are locked for some transform operation.

hello Shestakov, there is no active backup task for this VM ... As I had pointed out, when trying to delete from the disk it throws me the indicated error ... Please if someone was presented with this case at some time and could contribute I would appreciate it

Is it a job with just a single VM? Is transaction logs backup enabled for this VM?

there are more VMs that are backed up in the same task ... but all must be deleted since the repository no longer exists ... will the repository have to be deleted before the backups are configured?

Please check the running Jobs section. You will likely find a child job for log backups there. Disable it and you can perform the task.
