Recovery media & same hardware

Hi!

I am using VAW Free on multiple Dell PCs with same hardware and model. Because recovery media recreation is a very annoying task after each VAW update I wonder if I can create that recovery media for one PC only and use it on all other PCs. Are there any problems to expect if the PCs have the same hardware?

BTW, I don't see any way to automate recovery media creation in the free VAW, e.g. through command line. Or is there such thing?

Hello Anguel.

Yes you can use one recovery media for devices with similar hardware and operating system. If your laptops are running multiple Windows versions its recommended to create a recovery image per OS type as well.

I will be happy if you add this as a feature request. It is really annoying to go through the wizard every time after VAW updates and I think that this process can be easily automated, default settings and an ISO file output would be fine.
Maybe something like:

Thanks, and one more feature request regarding VAW recovery media:
Put some text file in the created ISO's main directory that identifies the version on VAW used to create it. I don't see any way so far to identify the version the ISO was created with.
