Move VB 9 to another Physical server with the version 9.5
Hello Experts ,
I'm Planning to move my Veeam Backup & Replication version 9 to new physical server but with the version 9.5 .
My Architecture for the old server is the Backup server is proxy server and the backup repositories are 3 VMs ( attached directly to RDM Mapping Physical lun ( Qnap ) ) .
What is the best way to do this move and migration ?
Regards

Just back up Veeam B&R configuration and import it into the new installation. I wouldn't recommend storing backups on VMFS though, not the best practice.

But the VM is a VMFS but we add a new disk RDM that used for repositories .it's recommanded or not in this case ?

Avoiding dependencies in DR situation (such as a vSphere host and a VM to attach RDM to) would work better. If you happen to have physical servers and bunch of disks, it would make it into a perfect backup target. Thanks.

Or just use iSCSI to map NTFS LUN on QNAP to VM.
