Hello,
i wanted to try the licensed version and upgraded the free version. The free version uses the existing Veeam Enterprise Repository so far as storage.
Now the license is missing and i wanted to switch back to the free version. So uninstalled the whole veeam-software on the client side, but i'm not able to delete the managed client in the Backup&Replication-Enterprise Server. It still resides as manuelly added item.
New installation of free client does not work, cause the client goes immediately into managed mode.
There is a Reg-Key "ManagedMode" on the client under HKLM-Software-Veeam. I can't delete it. Can't get the owner of it or set any security.
How can i get rid of this key and get my client back to the free mode?
How can i remove the workstation in the Enterprise Console?
Regards,
Frank

Re: switch back from licenced to free not working
Hello Frank.
Right click manually added protection group in Veeam B&R console and choose edit, navigate to computers step and remove your host. Once done install free agent from scratch.

Re: switch back from licenced to free not working
Hello Dima,
got it. But the right way is:
right-click the manually added group and choose Properties.
Unfortunately there is no direct edit of that group. You have to go to computers in the properties dialogue and edit the list of computers.
This is a little bit confusion, but it works.
Perhaps you'll find a better way to manage this group in a new version.
Thanks & Regards
