SureBackup Virtual Lab OS Requirements

Post by Nick-SAC »

I’m sure this is just an oversight/errata in the documentation but as I’m about to make a purchase & deploy it on a client’s system, I want to be double-extra-special-sure, so the docs state:

------------------------------------------------------------------->snip<--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
User Guide for Microsoft Hyper-V > Recovery Verification > SureBackup > Virtual Lab > Creating Virtual Lab > Before You Begin
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95

You can configure a virtual lab on the following types of hosts:

Microsoft Hyper‑V Server 2016

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 with the Hyper-V role enabled
Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 R2

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 with the Hyper-V role enabled
Microsoft Hyper‑V Server 2012
------------------------------------------------------------------->snip<--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But what about...
Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with the Hyper-V role enabled
???

Thanks,
Nick

Evidently this was just an oversight/errata in the docs...

per Veeam Support - Case # 03017939

"... yes VLABs can be configured on a Windows Server 2016 server with Hyper role enabled"

Just so you know - you can submit feedback directly to the technical writers team

In order to so you should click "send feedback" button (any page on the help center, bottom right). Usually, they correct articles quite fast.

Thanks.
