Hi,
We have Exchange server 2013 in Windows server 2012 x64.
The edb files locate in Netapp storage and moved from LUN to VMDK.

now we want to backup edb files and circular logs.
We created job for Exchange, in Guest Processing->Applications->General we checked the Recommended in Application and in Transaction logs.The job is crash after few minutes in error: "17/05/2018 12:41:47 :: Failed to create VM snapshot. Error: CreateSnapshot failed, vmRef vm-151, timeout 1800000, snName VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT, snDescription Please do not delete this snapshot. It is being used by Veeam Backup., memory False, quiesce False".

Code: Select all

All Events:
"17/05/2018 12:40:49 :: Queued for processing at 17/05/2018 12:40:49
17/05/2018 12:40:49 :: Required backup infrastructure resources have been assigned
17/05/2018 12:40:55 :: VM processing started at 17/05/2018 12:40:55
17/05/2018 12:40:55 :: VM size: 1.2 TB (460.1 GB used)
17/05/2018 12:41:02 :: Storage initialized
17/05/2018 12:41:37 :: Getting VM info from vSphere
17/05/2018 12:41:47 :: Guest processing skipped (check VMware Tools status)
17/05/2018 12:41:47 :: Failed to create VM snapshot. Error: CreateSnapshot failed, vmRef vm-151, timeout 1800000, snName VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT, snDescription Please do not delete this snapshot. It is being used by Veeam Backup., memory False, quiesce False
17/05/2018 12:42:00 :: Error: The operation is not allowed in the current state.
17/05/2018 12:42:00 :: Network traffic verification detected no corrupted blocks
17/05/2018 12:42:00 :: Processing finished with errors at 17/05/2018 12:42:00"
When we unchecked "Enable application-Aware processing"' the job is running well, but not circular logs.

Tnx

Are the VMware Tools running inside your Exchange VM?
