Lost my VBM File - How to recreate it?

Post by Ancrion »

Hello,

i created a backup with Veeam Agent and i lost my .vbm file. I just have the VBK file of the backup.

I tried this one: https://vpowercli.wordpress.com/2011/12 ... m-scratch/, but i get a lot of error messages in powershell after importing the vbk.

What do i wrong? Are there other methods to recreate the vbm?

Greetings

Hello Jaro.

This article is related to backup file created by Veeam B&R and does not apply to Veeam Agent for Windows (metadata is slightly different, so described recreation procedure wont work). As far as I know there is no way to recreate a vbm file for backup agent, but I suggest you reaching our support team as they might have some workaround. Thank you.

I could open my Veeam Backup without the VBM file in Veeam B&R!

Thank you

Thanks for sharing but if I am not mistaken that works only for full backup file (.vbk) but does not work for incremental restore points.
