Hi
I have a case where we need to backup both physical and virtual MS Failover Clusters.
Virtual clusters are run on Hyhper-V server 2016 using shared VHDX - Some for file servers and some for SQL servers (FCI - not AlwaysOn)
Physical Cluster is mainly SQL (FCI - not AlwaysOn).
What is best way to protect these? And can I get application consistency on those SQL clusters ?
I guess I need to use VAW in all cases, just not 100% sure if there are any gotchas with the current versions of B&R/VAW ?
Any help and experience is greatly appreciated

Re: Protection of Windows Failover clusters
Hello Rasmus.
Veeam B&R cannot process shared vhdx with VM backup job but its possible to protect those clusters with Veeam Agent for Windows managed by Veeam B&R. You can add both virtual and physical clusters to a single agent job with a cluster type. Check this article to learn more. Cheers!
