If I have a job containing 100 VMs, and use SOBR, per-vm chain, and data locality mode, will all the vm backups end up on the same extent (because they're part of one job), or will SOBR put each micro-vm-backup-chain across the multiple extents (because we have lots of separate mini backup chains)??
Thanks

Re: Scale Out Repository with Per-VM
Hi Dazza,
The second approach is expected, since data locality mode pays attention to the backup chains, so each micro-vm-backup chain can be stored on a different extents.
You can review the article about Backup File Placement in the User Guide for additional information. Thanks!
